Evo sighting, and Mach V update
Hi all,
Things are busy at Mach V Motorsports. We had a total of THREE turbo-back exhausts on the shop Evo the other day. Initially I had the Buschur Racing turbo-back, with the original Buschur Racing custom muffler. It's nice sounding at WOT, pleasant at cruise, but the noise at idle just grated on me. I swapped on a Borla cat-back and the stock cat and downpipe, and it sounded AWESOME! The Borla big tip is great, too. Fits really nicely in the rear valance. Then we took that off (I wept), and put on a new Buschur system that I specificed with a Magnaflow muffler. See my other post for the results. I thought it couldn't get better than the Borla cat-back, but the Buschur with Magnaflow is what's going to stay on the car. A little more noise than the Borla, but it's now a full 3" system the whole way back from the turbo, it's super light, and it's got a great (and quite moderate) sound.
We have our big track day event at Summit Point coming up in a couple of weeks. Even if you didn't sign up, do show up for one or both days and say hi. I guarantee you'll have a good time. I'll be there with the Evo, and Mach V staffer Derek will bring his STi.
I'm working on a date for another Evo get-together at our shop. Stay tuned on that. Perhaps mid-November.
I'll be going to the SEMA show Nov. 4-7. I promise to bring back some new product info. If anyone else is going, let me know. I always like getting together with other cool people at the show.
Oh yeah, the Evo sighting: Walking home on Westmoreland in Arlington/Falls Church border, an Evo with the vanity plate: "STI EATR." I like that! Anybody on here?
As most of you know, we're located in Falls Church, VA. I keep getting Evo people coming in the shop that say, "I didn't know you guys were here!" I guess not everyone knows they have a shop in the area that specializes in these cars. Spread the word!
