Exclamation Help! need Evo transmission work in VAB

I need a good reference for someone who does Evo (VIII) trany work in the Virginia Beach area. My 03 really F'd up tonight while practically standing still, something BAD is wrong. I had a new clutch put in by Carlife Transmission a little over a year ago, and it was never happy with the job, I DON'T want to have them do any more work on it.

Agree with Chris, need more info to be able to give you some help, or direction.

I had the guys at SAGE put my clutch in my old VIII and had no problems, sure that usnevo8 can tell you that it still running good, as he has my old car. All Aspects Motorsports are good guys as well. Other than the Spec- Ops Guys in NC, I haven't had anyone else do anywork on my car. but all three of the above mentioned did a good job on mine. just my two cents or suggestions.

If its a clutch i would go to All aspects. If your tranny is f'ed in the A, i would ship it out to TRE. But like i said we need to know details on whats wrong to point you in a direction

Don't know what is exactly bothering it, put it gear to move it and it lurches badly making a clattering noise. A few attempts to put it in gear were difficult. Put it back in neutral and it mostly goes away. When the clutch was done and other things from when the dealer rebuild the thing for the first owner that caused to it F'up to the point I couldn't get the car in gear.

I drove the car 40 miles today with no problem, went down the road to the grocery store and this **** starts when I pull into the parking lot.

Carlife fraked something in the clutch install; the clutch fork got jammed up in the TB, and the clutch plate cracked & the springs broke. Heritage Transmissions by Oceana NAS is putting in a new clutch, see how it works out.
