So.... may possibly be trading the Evo

I have been pondering getting rid of my Evo for a Z-71 Tahoe. I already know, have been crunching numbers while boredom sets in at work, and it is better on the financial side(insurance, car payments, etc) to have the Tahoe, but I don't know if I want to lose the fun factor and leaving this community. so still on the fence for deciding on this. I love my Evo, and can afford having it, but can't afford to do anything to it, which the Mod itch is diggin hard in my head and sucks. cause I want to but don't to do one thing then have to wait so many months or what not to do something else. lots of thinking or deciding if you will. i have a pretty good idea of what most of y'all will say, but input or opinion is appreciated. don't think that i will ever leave the forum though cause this is a great group of people, that is if I decide to get rid of the car lol there is alot more in detail of why I am thinking about doing this, but no need to go there as it would be a book to read lol. Y'all have a good one.

You'll be bored driving an SUV. I did the same thing and sold my last evo. Ended up regretting it and getting another evo. Some people are not car people, so you could be different.

Oh I know that I will miss it, cause I missed my VIII when I got the X, and if I do this, I know that I will get back to one when I can afford a weekend car, that I will drive for fun. I did the opposite at first though, went from a lifted truck to my VIII. I thought too that I would not ever get rid of my Evo VIII, well things changed and got my X, now things are possibly changing again so who knows. but still got the evo but who knows for how much longer lol.

got rid of my IX 5 months ago... picked up another one 1 month ago... couldn't stay away...

questions... do you need the extra space for looking at an SUV?

SUVs like Tahoes eat gas like its going out of style... I had an Explorer back in the day when gas was $1.25 and I was filling up every 3 days. I couldn't imagine now...

you can mod the Evo slowly... as for the insurance... I don't see how much cheaper its really going to be. SUVs are not usually that much cheaper to insure. Do some research on gas consumption first b4 doing anything you may regret later.

Don't do it. You will never forget about your Evo.

Also, instant gratification is what got this country in this mess. Just save a little while longer or finish making those payments and you can use those payments as money that will buy those mods.

Keep it man you'll never forgive yourself for letting the evo go especially for something that has the aerodynamics of a brick and gets about 7 miles to the gallon

i think about selling my evo everyday. i make enough money to own it mod it and all. however, with me looking to buy a house and saving for the wedding it's tough. real tough. ever dime i blow all i think about is what i should have done with it lol.

i too have been looking at suv's i might buy an awd endeavor and pick a 2g gsx up to play with.

do what is good for you, if its a toy you want and don't want the payments. dsm's can be had cheap and are fun to drive.

the only cars i would ever trade my evo for is a terminator or C5 z06....I would not do it for an suv though, it might be comfy but when the new car thing wears out in a cpl of months you going to regret it.
