front bumper fitment

so ive heard that i might possibly be able to match up my stock front bumper with some wide body front fenders (brand unknown, they were already on it when i bought it).. some people have told me that the front bumper is a little flexible but idk if a little is going to cut it. the front fenders currently overextend the bumper by about a good 3/4in or soon either side and with a little macgyvering ingenuity, maybe some rivets or screw and nut or even zip tying through the over hung lip of the fenders and an small L brace from a hardware store and connecting it like that might work?? any know if this might work or have any other ideas besides the obvious (buying a new front bumper to match the kit) i would really appreciate the input.
