Quick question. I'm new here . Does anyone get pulled over for aftermarket exhaust or any mods in the Newport news area?

 

Amber - I personally am unfamiliar with the Newport News area but based on my experience having mods on my cars some cops usually don't wana stop u for just exhaust unless your exhaust is extremely loud that catches their attention from a mile away lol. i've lived in the fairfax area for a long time and theres areas here were they will pull you over for the most idiotic things. My mom got pulled over because her license plate frame was covering half the "Virginia" label. it's just dumb. and i've gone to the fredericksburg down to richmond area and seen cars modded and screaming exhausts in front of cops and they cool about it....

 

ok thanks. In Florida i never had really any issues. On these forums i keep reading about VA being really strict and having stupid laws .

Depends on the cop. I know in Fredericksburg Jason's got pulled over multiple times for loud exhaust. In Henrico county/Richmond, Chan's been pulled over about 3 times for exhaust.

Ive ran open downpipe in the leesburg, sterling, and winchester area for a few months they have never pulled me over haha..

 

it's probably cuz those areas are dead lonely lol. But really, theres not much going on around those areas. cops make money in suburban areas populated with lots of cars.

A meet is scheduled for Nov. 10th 2012 at 12:00pm (this all depends on feedback I get from this thread, the time can change depending on everyone who is interested and their schedule) the place we are meeting is at a movie theater with a pretty huge parking lot (this will also depend on what feedback I get from everyone) other locations and suggestions are more than welcomed with details and locations clearly stated.

Drive out:

The drive route has been planned. I would like to leave this as something we talk about once everyone has met up and talked (Once again this depends on weather and everyone’s input).

Please note that I am in not responsible for any one’s actions other than mine. This is an adult meet and drive out. We do not want people coming who cannot conduct themselves in a respectable manner. This is not a club meet or a “let’s race and see who has the faster car” event. We do not want unnecessary drama and problems with local law enforcement. Please also be careful when leave the parking lot and watch out for other drivers.
