I would recommend getting dedicated snow tires as opposed to all seasons if the car is going to be driven in the snow. I had all season tires and hated them. They are meh as a summer tire (I drove them in the summer just to wear them out), and gave me little confidence in the snow unless I was on flat, straight roads. I regretted not getting snows. Been a while since I shopped for snows so there may be better options available now, but everyone I know with Blizzaks was a lot happier than me. They're marshmallows when it's dry, but killer in the snow. All seasons do neither well. They can get you by, but if you're going to be driving in the snow regularly I would get snow tires.
