Test Drove Dinan M3 Last Night

Basically, I was disappointed. I don't know where the 333 HP went, but it definitely was MIA. Went to Luxury Motors in Orland Park to do the test drive. I was with my friend that was shopping for 330CI and figured I should jump inside an M3 just to see what the hype was all about. To the point, the M3 isn't worth the money. Sure it's a pimp car, but I'm no longer a fan of the Ultimate Driving Machine.

What year???? A standard (current style) M3 has 333bhp, the Dinan should have had more unless it's older, or maybe they just did suspension work.

I have a 2002 330ci and it of course is outperformed by the EVO but it sure is a sweet ride. And it's built like a truck and BMW doesn't give ya sh*t about your driving style. Plus they call ya "sir" or "Mr.???" not car abuser or showroom trouble causer even after your were just answering one of THIER salesmans questions.

*** But I am not bitter at Mitsubishi ***

If I were your friend I would check this car out. If I had an extra $50K lying around I would definately pick one up.

It was a 2001 or 2002 (all I know is that it was an E46) Laguna Seca Blue Dinan M3 with 40,000+ miles. It was supposedly chipped, equipped with tighter suspension, and a re-worked exhaust. It had all the standard goodies, from the sunroof to the navigation system. Still, after driving it and getting a feel, I definitely can't see the logic of paying $60,000 for it. I just don't see it. My car feels better, drives better, and definitely much more fun to drive. I'll buy an E46 M3 for $40,000 but that's the limit.

Didn't have time. They close at 8 and we got there around 7:30, but I'd love to drive a 911. I like how they went back to the old school headlights. I'm actually shopping for a used 911, preferably with the old school headlights. Found one in FL for $29,000+ and it's black with tan interior. It only has 94,000 miles, but it looks sweet with aftermarket wheels. Of course, I'd only drive it during the summer.

that car is some amazing. My friends dad is suppose to pick up his CL65amg pretty soon. I can't wait to ride in that thing. 604hp and 738ft-lbs of torque.
