Detroit/Roseville: Arnold Mitsu...any good?
Went to Arnold Mitsubishi on Gratiot to buy some stuff and was wondering if any locals go there for service? Are they pretty good? I wanna get my oil changed for the 5,000 mile mark, and hopefully they won't be too hard on me if I start putting major mods on the car.
Actually, there's a silver Evo (small wing, SSR wheels) that has been there for about 2 weeks now, being serviced. I asked the tech and he said someone "ran the oil out"!
Ouch!! I saw it again when I picked up my touch-up paint early tonight. Anyone here?

Was there today for a $55.10 oil change & the fan controller recall (but they still haven't gotten the weight sticker for me yet... Geesh!)
They're O.K., I guess, as far as servicing a STOCK Evo. Heard from a couple of other guys (and a relative who works at another local Mitsu dealer) that they're not the most mod-friendy dealer. It depends on just how/what you do to car & what impression you make on them. Today THEY asked ME when/if I was going to mod car: gave them my standard answer of "...not until after the warranty runs out..." That seemed to pacify them & make 'em pretty happy.
Just remember to be very, very careful what you say to a dealer & how you say it.
The Silver Evo was being driven out of the service bay when I pulled mine in. All I know is that he's 20-ish (younger than the grey-haired Grandpa I am), and from the Ann Arbor Area. Who's car is it ??? I'm local to Arnold Mitsu - PM me & let's meet!

I saw that car there as well when I picked up some injector orings-heard a similiar story. I bought my car from them. They were pretty kool on the deal. I do all my own service, so I can't comment on that at all. But I would buy another car from them.

Yeah I did my first oil change at 3000 miles already cause the Evo felt sluggish.
But since we got that free maintenance thing, I figured I should use it.
Hey.. nice mods on your Evo! Did you get a flash tune or did you tune it locally for your mods?

Awesome! Gotta check out your car sometime.
I'm going for mods slowly since I can't really install most of them during the winter, myself.
I still have Hotchskis sitting in my kitchen waiting for a nice warm day and a friend's garage. I should be smart and wait till after winter... but nah...my car needs to drop now.
