midwest snow storm

FWIW: that is where i went for 'road' break testing. I was coming home from work at about 2am and it was raining pretty hard. The area is pretty well lit, so I got off lake shore to test my braking ability (my RS has no ABS). You simply wouldn't believe how long it took to stop from 20 mph. Needless to say, I drive very slowly in the rain now.

Even before the snow storm, when it was the first night temp. dropped with freezing rain...my car slid right and my front right wheel hit the curb
. My polished lip took a big bite but thank God rim wasn't bent.
During the night of the snow storm...I couldn't drive past 25 mph . Stock ES wheels suck! Need to invest in some Blizzacks next Winter.
Oh yeah...saw a BBY Evo passing up traffic like nothing. Evos kick ***!

I take it back about the snow being less effort to clean off.
I let that snow freeze up under the car, not knowing that it had totally encased the suspension. Needless to say once it had frozen solid I found out. It's like driving with no suspension at all. Every bump hit so hard I was worried about damage.
It took about an hour with a heated power washer to get all that ice out of the suspension.
