Hello everybody,

SpeedTrialUSA has an instructional road racing school for enthusiasts of all driving levels, with all makes and models of car, coming up Saturday, April 9 at GingerMan Raceway in South Haven, MI. Since our events are aimed at all levels of drivers and cars, there is something for everybody. This is your chance to take your driving skills and your car to the limit while learning the basics of auto racing in a safe, fun, and controlled environment.



This event is $135 for the day if you preregister, $155 the day of, and includes intstruction for all levels of driver and also your tech inspection. We will be running our groups in 20 minute sessions, so you will have a ton of track time! Arrive at the track at 7:30am, Drivers meeting at 8:30 am, first session begins at 9am.

Can you have 2 driver cars there?

 

Do you mean 2 drivers with 1 car? Yes. If each driver signs up for different run groups, then the car will be out at different times. Each driver should register individually, but listing the same car. If you are going to sign up for the same run group, then you can share an entry. The owner of the car would need to register and insert the other drivers name in the "notes" feild.

Or, do you mean 1 driver and 2 cars? The answer is still yes. Our registration cost is per driver. Thus, bring as many of your cars as you want! As long as they are track worthy of course.

If it is raining (or I guess there is a possibility of snow) are you still going to run this?

 

We run rain or shine. Driving in the rain can make for one of the best learning experiences since all of the cars mannerisms are exagerated. Though it is a little slower in the rain, you can still lap pretty quickly. Besides, you guys have all-wheel-drive!

If it snows, the event will be rescheduled. I would like to think that we are over due for some nice weather and think we'll be ok.

With just under two weeks before our GingerMan event, it is time to make sure your car is ready. Please take advantage by having your car checked over before the event. Though we will continue to provide tech inspections at the track, pre-tech'ing your car will ensure you the most track time and also allows time just in case something is wrong. In addition, we know that many people have their own shop. Please feel free to have your normal technician check over your car. All you have to do is download our tech inspection sheet from the website and have the shop put their stamp on it. Bring the inspection sheet with you to the track, and you will be ready to go.

The tech form says Snell 95 helmet required. Is Snell M2005 acceptible?

 

That will be acceptable for the GingerMan events this year, but events we may host at other tracks will likely not allow an M rated helmet. I guess we'll worry about those when they come up!

Wish I could make this one but we will be in Louisiana attending the SRT Nationals at No Problem Raceway Park. Taking the shop EVO and SRT-4 down to have some fun!
