Once again it is time to have some fun in the sun and eat some good food cooked by Chef Pedro! I had some concerns I wanted to throw out as soon as possible so we are not scrambling for a permit like last year.

1. I know we have always had the meet in AUG., but I was talking with some members and what if we bump it up to the last weekend in JULY? This way it is a lil bit warmer and not as rainy.


2. I was also wanting to see if we should move locations, only because of the amount of cars I think are coming out this time. I know not everyone stays for the full day, but I don't want to have to turn anyone away... If we keep the same location we might have to squeeze together more and have some cars park in the middle, which could pose a hazard and bring cops... Eric and I scoped out a nice park in Tinley Park area that had tons of parking and was in the back... it's about a 25-30 min drive from AMS.. So please vote so I can start looking now...

Hey, i don't really mind the drive, its more of which day its going to be on. I work at nights around 5 over the summer, so it depends on if im working that day or not. I'm not asking u to fit the meet around my schedule, im just saying if i could make it or not. I really wanna go cause it sounds like its gonna be a blast. Ill be looking forward to some more info!

 

not to up to date on these meets, yet, but o am from wisconsin, and would actually make the trip down there if it would be cool, is any one invited to these things, i picked up my lance about 2 weeks ago, and pretty new to all this stuff. but by then i will have some stuff done to it, so it won't be all stock. anyways if its on a weekend i can make it for sure i dotn work weekends. but please let me know if it would be cool if i showed up, i dont care when it is. just want to know if its for everybody.

Yep everyone is invited... there will be more details posted later.. but we welcome everyone to our meets.. stock or modded... it doesnt matter.. all we ask is to have a good attitude and bring some food ,drinks or munchies to help out with...

 

Also there are a few evos from WI that drive down here to our meets.. you should hook up with them.. and Welcome to the club!

 

Yeah we drive down when we can, but the WI crowd is kinda dispersed and always want to do thier own thing so trying to get a group to drive is becoming harder and harder, I think most people up here are becoming pansies. I'm actually suprised I got 2 other Evo's to show up for the Holy hill run this weekend. Last year was fun for the Evo drivers up here, but now it's hard to get a hold of people. I think I'll be dissapointed this year with the people up here. I would be down for the BBQ depending on what day it is, I usually work 1 weekend day a week.

 

Aww sorry to hear that! Maybe we can organize a WI run up there too... I am leaning towards the last weekend in July.. So I hope you can make it... I am also looking into seeing if we can rent a balloon warz game!

 

well i am always up for a good drive any where i posted some stuff up on the holy hill thread, and no one really got back to me on times or where to meet and stuff. i would cruise down or up anywhere as long as it is somewhere kinda near by. but let me know about stuff going on and i will more than likely be happy to come. i mean i have some buddies with some pretty nice cars, like eclipse, cougar, avenger, and some other ones, would they be welcome to drive to with or no? im new to all this i have never been to a meet before.

 

your friends are more than welcome to come to the bbq too... the more the merrier...

The difference to me b/t two places within Chi-town's suburbs doesn't matter. I'm coming from St.Louis. It might matter b/t July and Aug, but we shall see.

I'm down for a new location even though i can practically walk over to the original forest preserve in Morton Grove. I actually don't mind a lil drive with Lydia . I can ride her all day.

Move it to the last weekend in July~! Unless we have the BBQ after the first week of Aug. then it's fine. Cuz I'm going to VEGAS that week baby yea~!
