Eric, it's HIH Horsepower Induced Hysteria. As in any engine, reciprocating, turbine, or otherwise that is so loud, causes the ground to shake, steals oxygen from your lungs, or threatens your firstborn. It usually causes a euphoric feeling in gearhead males. Common side effects are yelling, high fives, and "chesting" other like minded gearhead males.That's HIH!

 

i'm hoping to take some new pics at some point, but honestly, my car doesn't look any different from the beginning of summer..lol.

You all should come to an AutoX... you know, turn and stuff There is a Porsche Club one at the end of this month. $20 and they've typically got long courses (50-60 seconds). It's in Hartville, which is less than an hour away if I remember correctly.

If you're not a member of their club, they just put you in an 'X' class so you don't have to worry about which class to be in. I was at the one in June but couldn't make the last one.

 

Going to hit Dragway 42 tonight. Weather should be good.

I'm also *very* interested in the auto-x so keep me posted.

i'm good for the road track anyday, I think I'll pass on the auto-x...I've heard the wear and tear of auto-x is a bear for maintenance....

Bah. You're thinking of track days.

You generally get 6 or 7 runs around a 45 second course. I do it on my street tires and pads. None of the courses I've done locally had anything that would damage the upkeep of your car.

 

it's only Tim's STi, the croys WRX, Count Ibaula's WRX that take the beatings

 

I've had no problems with track days....really changing brake fluid and pads are the only consistent maintenance....err and tires depending how many track days a season are incurred.

Forget the fact I've had incidents consecutive years at Nelson.

I guess I shouldn't knock it until I try it. Eh, the Evo is turning into a bling and road course queen anyways....
