I just went and saw an Evo X in Toronto.
I sat down with the guy to talk numbers..

He said after taxes.. for a GSR, no extras... $52,000 out the door.
If I wanted an MR with nav, leather, blah blah blah.. i was looking at close to $67,000.

wow.. i mean the X looked better in person that in the pics, but definitely not worth 67k IMO.. for that you could get two evo VIII's and an additional decent dd

For that you can get a Z06, a lotus, or an evo with $30,000 worth of stuff that makes the panties fly out the window.

tax here is 13%.
And they marked them up a little since this is the first time an evo is available in canada.

67 grand for an evo!? that is ridiculous. I don't even believe that anyone would pay that much for a mitsubishi. I certainly wouldn't.

Put this in perspective...part of this is because the US dollar has fallen so heavily in the past couple of years...

I mean the currency rate was 1.25 in 2005 and now it's under 1...
So take $67k Canadian against that rate and it's about $52k US back then.

Yes still inflated but it's an Evo and it's a new model. How many guys' here with Evo 8s bought their's new? In 2003 ppl in Cali were paying sometime a good $10k markup...over MSRP...

Good luck getting a GTR for anywhere close to MSRP...if you're talking about the new Skyline...I heard they're going to be easily marked up for $100k when they finally hit US soil.

$67,000 CDN is $66,133 US as of today.
6 weeks ago it would have been $69,600 US.

I just moved away from NE Ohio and kinda miss the cheapness of it... Everything in Toronto is way more expensive. I pay attention to this now cause my expenses are done in US so depending on the day they cut the check and depending on when i deposit it i here in Canada i can make or lose $50-$100.

Hey,

What do you guys think about a big *** meet in March. Like an opening season meet with BBQ and stuff. Location could been figured out, but I thought of posting sooner so everyone can rearrange their plans. I know there was a lot of interest last time we met, even with a short notice we had a great turn around, but with at least a month we can go even larger.

What do you say - March 14th, Sat?
