Mid-Ohio doesn't have any open track days, but so many clubs run there and most of the marque clubs are open, except for PCA sometimes. Dr. Fob pointed you to Nelson (it only took 5 years to get a website!), I'll point you to www.beaverun.com. Maybe I'm crazy, but I really like BeaveRun. It's a short track but it has a great rhythm and when you hit T2,3,4 and 7,8 right it's a blast. And 9 is a pucker kink like 11 at Nelson. All that and clean restrooms! Anyway, throw in Putnam near Indy (www.putnampark.com), and between open days and club events you can probably hit one of those tracks every weekend. It makes up for living in Columbus!

Cool, I'll be there all three days. If you haven't been there for a NASA event before, get there early, or you'll be paddocked out in the suburbs!

BeaveRun really intimidated the hell out of me. I had a tough time adjusting to the elevation changes. I felt really comfortable at Nelson for some reason. You coming back up north soon Dave? You and Eric were tearing stuff up at the Audi day.

What do you mean? Do enough cars show up that there's not enough room to park in the lot near pit lane? How many people typically show up?

Yeah, Nelson is flat! The downhill braking into T1 and the blind turn-in at 7 are what make BeaveRun fun. So I take it you haven't made it to Mid-Ohio then! When did you hit the Beav'? I'll try to make Nelson a couple times this year. Hmm, did you ever let your middle-aged racin' mama from Nelson adopt you? LilJapanBoy knows who I'm talking about!

If you want to snag a spot in the lot you need to be waiting when the gate opens! I always wind up in the grass and gravel.

I'd be down to do one or two more novice days before I hit hardcore open track days...

Do the Fun Days get very crowded?

Last summer when Latesleeper and I went, there were about 7 cars running altogether. That's when we met Dave.

When there are just a handful of cars at Nelson they don't even run sessions, they just leave the track green and you go whenever you feel like it. The flip side is that there are only about 3 corners manned.

Must've been Ny-Quil. He lives on Coventry.

Speaking of Coventry, I was a silver stock-looking Evo with California plate. I waved at you in a white STI.
