Sup guys, just picked up my Evo about two months ago. I've been wondering about any potential local meets and figured this would be a good place to ask. I'm near Newark and have heard from a few car buddies that there are at least three or four other Evo's in Newark alone. If any of you guys see this, let me know! It'd be cool to get some meets going once it warms up.
I meet up there every once in a while, but it draws a decent amount of ignorant ricers. I know there is a big meet coming up in march. I may show up, I just easily get annoyed with the younger crowd, acting like idiots lol.
Hey guys,
I'm not sure if any of you are interested but Bakaunci is going to make a trip out here to tune cars for a weekend on TiC's new AWD dyno. Tunes will be flat rate, 500 for single map and 600 for dual, like 93/e85. If anyone has any questions feel free to PM me for more info.

Ive been to a few of the smaller meets when I still had my 4g eclipse. It was mostly rusted out civic ricers and mustangs. Nothing impressive at all. But it was cold out and they said the real cars only come out in the summer when its warm. Hopefully the rice level is lower this time around haha. Who all is going to IFO in April?
I would not recommend covert tuning, based off my buddy's Evo x running 13.1s after cams, bigger turbo, pump, injectors and other misc upgrades. Eric told him that he maxed out his fuel lines on pump gas, but only putting down 450awhp. First off 450awhp will run much faster then that, secondly he wouldn't have maxed his pump, injectors or lines. I ran my Evo viii (406awhp) same day and ran a 12.2 with the ACT refusing to shift to 4th, and then I ran his car (which supposedly is 450awhp) and only could get a 13.1.
Now this is all coming from the owner of the car... So unless he is completely BSing about what he paid eric to have done, then this is a very pathetic tune.

My numbers are from buschurs mustang Dyno his was virtual Dyno numbers. I know different dynos read differently, and a virtual Dyno is just a close ball park. If I put my car on slow motions Dyno pack my numbers would be much higher then at buschurs.
But some things don't add up, my car on my old set up was 350whp (same VD), and I ran 12.5s. And here he is being told that he is putting down 450whp, and running practically stock times. Also the fact they told him he maxed out his fuel lines on pump gas at 450 is a crock also. Also the car has good usable power, it dosnt have horrible lag.

Of the few friends that took their cars to IPS, ended up happy. Brandon took good care of me with all the parts I ordered, I just decided to have Buschur do my tune. Corey from slowmotion said he is trying to start getting into the evos. I know he bought a Evo last year and has been modding it.
