Thumbs up Omaha- GSC 272/264 Cams Installed @ Sublime

Ok, all you Omahans following this, it took a while but I finally got the car back for my b-day. The ONLY thing added from my wishlist were the GSC 272/264 Cams. The Alky, and othe misc. stuff is on order...

This was a very interesting scenario. The initial 272 cam that GSC sent did not fit. Mike at Sublime worked with GSC who overnighted another one. The next one did not fit either!!!! When GSC received the 272 cam back they tried to see if it would fit in a vehicle down there and it did! Sooooo.... this would indicate that my head was a slightly different size (maybe due to tolerances?).

Anyway, with a little agreed upon machining by GSC, Sublime and a local machinist everything is now good.... WOW! What a difference!

Mike ran a before and after with a G-Tech and found a 10MPH increase in the quarter from the CAMS ALONE!!!! and this is all untuned....

I can't wait for the Alky and tuning to really crank this up.... This really feels good, gang!

BTW, the idle is very steady and the car has a crazy lope to it now... If any of you Omahans are interested in checking it out, PM me and we can meet.

Congrats! I talked to Mike on Saturday and he was really impressed with the power your cams made. He wanted to G-Tech my car for comparison, and I told him maybe next week when I put race gas in. What do you mean the weekend I just spent greasing my calipers and waxing my rims didn't gain me any HP! BTW I'm free for a ride later this week.

Speedo, I thought it was the other way around... If you leave the dirt on your car it makes it faster! Isn't that how the rally guys do it by trying to pile on as much of mother nature as possible???

Let me know when you have time, I can hook up with you over lunch...

Glad your enjoying the cams and Mike from Sublime seams like a great guy. Now if i can just figure out why your head seams different than the other 50plus cars we have installed them in. BTW What year and build date is your car? I want to keep tabs if this problem arises again.

Greg

Hi, Greg. Your cams ROCK! Once they actually got installed it was ear to ear grinning all the way!

My car is an '03. I'll check on the build date for you when I get a chance to look.

I just went outside during lunch and turned my MBC one turn counter-clockwise. I put 5 gallons of GT 100 in the tank this morning, so I might as well get something out of the deal. : )

Beat you to it, I filled the tank with high octane yesterday afternoon, but now it's all gone (see attached).

Thanks. Today, however, it looks like I drove through a plague of locusts.

Greg: I think I'm sold on these super-cams of yours. What are the benefits to HuskeEVO's 272/264 combination over a 264/272?

HuskerEVO: Can I get that ride Saturday or sometime next week?

I'm glad all is going well for you Husker. Your car sounded mean and fast the other day (just a little lopey). I can't wait to get a ride in it .... So are you going the get the alky kit and then Dynoflash tune?

I'm interested in a ride, probably after you get it all tuned from Dynoflash at the beginning of June. I'm still trying to plan out what modifications I'll do in the future (when I have $$)! Until then I'm stock as stock can be, might have the money when 36,000 miles comes my way
