Possibly moving to Boulder, CO....

Is it a good idea to buy some snow tires? Which ones are good, how long will they last, and how much? (stock rims)

Haven't bought an EVO yet but i might before i move.

I would suggest it. Quality and life depends on brand, obviously. I just bought a cheap set and they've lasted me a year and a half so far. They suck for racing, but good in the wet.

I run winters and summers....and find it worth it. I enjoy having the sticky stuff for nice weather and in the winter I just try to survive the icy days. Most of the talked about winter tires are worth the investment if you can have 2 sets around. If you're not that concerned about great summer performance, a good set of all-season should be fine (as that's what most of the world gets around on.)

I think i'd be annoying not having summer tires on when its dry and relatively warm out. However, isn't it pretty annoying to have a shop take off the summer tires from your rim and put the snow tires on? (or all season).

If i did have summer and winter tires, which winter tires would last awhile and be awesome for the weather there? Thanks fellas. Stock rims btw.

Visit the Tire Rack sight, one of the evom sponsors. Read all the evaluations.
I have had two sets of Blizzaks on their wheel packages and traction is like a night and day difference over all season tires.
