Picked up my EVO IX yesterday. So much fun!
It does have a REALLY loud squeal at start up that'll last 20-30 secs. Not sure if it's the serpentine belt or a pulley. It also has Ferodo DS2500 pads which are pretty noisy at lower speed braking. But they definitely work at stopping the car, that's for damn sure. They don't squeal under hard braking just slow stops. They are being replaced with some RacingBrake ET500. Hopefully these are better suited for daily driving kind of stopping.
