I got into an accident last night when some dumb f*ck ran a stop sign and I ended up hittin him...

My front end was damaged, bumper, hood, headlights, intercooler, piping etc...

I wanna know if there are any shops in the area that does a good job putting things back together.

Also, anyone know if shops are required to bring the car back to its original state before the crash? I had aftermarket bumper and piping. Will shops be able to bring those back or are they required to put back the OEM stuff?

I damaged my custom painted cf hood a while back. I took it to Neat Street (http://www.neatstreetautobody.com/) and they purchased and painted a new cf hood. Very good work there.

 

thats a bit far from chicago.... how are they with the engine work though?

 

Rosemont Auto Body on Oakton in Des Plaines is a great place. They have done work on many of my cars and friends cars. Ask to talk to Ray when you go in there, I think thats his name I can't remeber exactly but he is the owner and will work with you to get what you want back on the car. I do not believe that they do motor work but what do you need motor work for? Replacing the intercoolere and piping is not exactly motor work.

 

well no,...IC and IC piping isn't much...but theres a good possibilty that some of the components may have been altered, especially to the turbo.

I just want to make sure these shops know what they are doing and know if something's not the way its supposed to be...

i got my car over at Browns Auto over by Western and Devon...has anyone ever heard of this shop?

 

browns is good, good choice, i would go with Body werks since I know Larry the owner there if i had that much damage.

some jerk rear ended my evo about 4 months after i got it. got referred by some family friends who own nothing but lexus's to royal coach. there are two one in bartlett and one in addison, i went to addison. couldnt be happier with the work. pretty expensive if i remember correctly, but i wasnt paying and even if i was i would spare no expense on my evo. cant speak for engine work there but the body work was A+. they had everything in the shop from bimmers, benz, my evo, and even hot rods.
