UPDATE!!

There has been a change of location for the initial meet spot. Instead of meeting at Bell's Brewery, (hard to find, crappy parking lot) we will be meeting at Cruisers Pub directly south of I-94 in Portage (address above in first post). This place is easy to find, big parking lot, and its close to the park we will be using. I have also reserved the pavillion at the park, guaranteeing us exclusive use of the facility.

kalamazoo, portage, its all the same. they are technically not the same, but in all actuality its just one city. i dont even know where one begins/ends. portage is closer to the highway anyways. meeting downtown at Bell's (kalamazoo) would be a nightmare in my opinion.
