no. there is no set fine for tints in IL. It's a fix it or deal w/ a judge type of deal.

well, depends how much you are out in the suburbs imo. If I still lived out there, I wouldn't have done it to the evo. Chicago cops couldn't care less although they do seem to care about not having a front plate while parked in a residential area, but that's a whole nother thread

Wrong, it depends from city to city. If you are lucky, you will get a mail in fix it ticket, otherwise, usually at least $25 and up.

Shaded days in Lake Bluff, they do a lot of german cars...a little pricey though, but lifetime guarantee.
Stay away from Mid America tinting, not only was it expensive, I had 3 huge bubbles in my tint job and he REFUSED to fix them even though they supposedly give a lifetime warranty. They did a sloppy job on my rear window around the defroster lines too. (This was on my STI).

I got my 09 Ralliart done for $200 all around (except windshield) with life time warranty at Midco Tinting in Burbank, IL. It's normally $180, but ralliarts require install of felt on the window edge so that it does not scratch the tint. Dude does excellent work. Did the legal 35% all around.
