Anyone near Olathe, KS?

My fiance and I were in Olathe Kansas for the past week and I didn't see any evo's around. Wondering if there are any evo owners in the nearby area.

Also, I noticed the gas is WAYYYY cheaper. 2.11 as opposed to the 2.60 I'm paying in Phoenix.

We are thinking of moving to the Olathe area within the next year.

There's some in the area, but most don't make on these boards. The Olathe area is very nice and has been growing for some time now, as well as most of the surrounding metro area.

I'm in Shawnee and moving to Lenexa this summer.

Fran got an Evo? Cool. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Nice... My fiance's entire family works in Lanexa. I like that area as well.

Ingrex- we'd be moving becuase all her family is over there. But nothing's for sure yet- more of a long term goal. Can't do anything unless a great job opportunity presents itself over there.

Well it's looking more and more like we'll be moving to the area. I have a phone interview at a place in Kansas city- and if all goes well- I'll be out there for an in-person interview shortly. If I get the job, we'll be probably looking around Shawnee, Lenexa, or Overland Park. Olathe would be too far of a commute.

How is Shawnee? Is it a nice area? Any other places to look at that aren't too far from Kansas City?

Well the first interview went REALLY well and now they're flying me out on Tuesday for a "meet and greet" type interview. I feel good about it! We would be looking around the Shawnee/Lenexa area.

For all you KS guys- how is the car registration there? How is it calculated?

Thanks man, it went great and actually I got the job today. They called and offered it to me along with a good moving allowance. After all the procedural checks clear- it's official- and I could be out there as soon as the end of August!!!!

You'll deffinitely need atleast some all-seasons for the winters up here. It only snows a average of a few times a year up here but sometimes we can get more.

IS that what you guys do? If so when do you generally put the winters on and vice versa?

Also, how does the car run in the extreme cold? Any advice?
