IL emissions testing

Hey guys, I am getting ready to lose my cat and wonder what is the policy on IL emissions testing. Do they analyze your exhaust, or just check the OBDII for CELs. Also, how often do you have to do it.

Depends on the city, I have no emissions testing in Rockford

It Definatly depends on the county/city policy. My little cornfield county has no testings
