Best dealer to go to in Midwest??

Hello to all I am a bit new here as far as posting goes at least so please bare with me. Thanks.

I am looking to purchase a New Evo XI MR and am looking for suggestions for the dealer with the best price, customer skills, warranty matters... I am in the Milwaukee WI area and am willing to travel a bit but as far as California goes-that may be a bit to far to take my trade in. Any help would be appreciated.

schaumburg mitsubishi ask for Jeff. Tell him Matt with the white evo sent you. They have about 9 to 10 evos on hand, about 3-4 are MRs. But do not go to there service guys, they are a-holes. But I would definetly buy an EVO from there.

I live in Milwaukee-just like you. I shopped all of the dealers in Milwaukee and came up with the best price @ Van Dyn Hoven Imports in Appleton, WI. They are great guys up there. They do not hassle you whatsoever. While I was shopping for a 9 no dealership would let me test drive a 9 without a huge hassle EXCEPT for Van Dyn Hoven Imports in Appleton. They actually asked me if I wanted to take out the 9 on their lot for a test drive! They gave me the keys and told me to take my time! No salesman along for the test drive. This is what finally twisted my arm to make the change from my 2003 8 to a 9. There is definately a difference! As for pricing-> they gave me $20,500 for my 2003 Evo 8 w/ 50,000 miles on it and sold me the 9 for invoice + a $99 Dealer Fee (cough, BS) minus $1000 (College grad and Mitsu loyalty).

I really don't think it gets much better than this.

1. Great people
2. No pressure
3. Great Deal
4. Actually let you take an EVO out w/o a hassle. This has aggrevated me as I OWN an EVO. The place that didn't give me a hard time was the one I bought from. I have been trying to make this same deal for about 2 months now. It took Van Dyn Hoven Imports about 30 minutes from the time I walked in the door to agree to my price (Including my 20 minute test drive in the 9)

Bottom Line:

GO TO VAN DYN HOVEN IMPORTS in Appleton, WI. Ask for Jon in Mitsubishi. Jon's a great guy who owns an Evo himself. Call them @ 920.749.3232 ask for Jon.

I am asking nor recieving anything for this refferal-I just appreciate people who take care of me like Van Dyn Hoven Imports in Appleton, WI.

I pick up my new 2006 GG IX on Saturday morning!

Best of luck w/ your purchase!

BTW EVO-E, when my Evo 9 arrives on Saturday, Van Dyn Hoven Imports will be recieving aprox. 6-8 additional Evos, so give them a call if you are ready to buy right away because there is a good chance they will have the one you want.

Otherwise - if you are not ready to buy right away-take your time and shop around. It has definately paid off for me. The next closest deal was more than $2000 more than what I paid at Van Dyn Hoven Imports. Same car, Same trade-in-just more money. SHOP around, get prices and compare. THERE IS NO SHORTAGE OF EVOs. Despite what some dealers tell you, you can get any Evo you want. Yes, production will end in about 6-8 months, but there is definately no shortage.

The key is to be patient. Negotiate your best price. Remember-you are the one buying. If the deal is not suitable to you, stand up and walk out. Drive to the next dealeship and start where you left off. There are 3 Mitsubishi Dealerships in the Milwaukee area alone. (Don Jacobs, Griffin, & Renner)

Best of luck!

Hey, did you forget us? We are usually VERY competitive on pricing, and we run an Evolution club through the dealership! Plus, if you read these boards a little, you'll see that I'm very Evo-Savvy.

Out of buying an Evolution, 1% should have something to do with price. People who go drive long distances to buy an Evo don't really understand that pricing is going to be a couple hundred dollars plus or minus, a LOT of it is the person you buy it from... how well they explain the car, what knowledge they have, and what service their service department can offer. That's worth a TON of a lot more than a couple hundred dollars. Trust me on that one.

We service 80% or more of the Evolutions in the Milwaukee area, sell any and all performance parts, and install a lot of them as well.

Stop in! Renner Mitsubishi, Wauwatosa, WI.

I can recommend a dealer but it might be a bit far from where you're at.
I bought my car from Auroa Mitsubish(max madson) in Auroa.
It's a evo 9mr for $300 below invoice.
If you are really interested give them a call.
The sales person's name is Mo.
He is very pleasant to work with and very up-front.
Just tell him Kevin referred you and he'll take care of you.
This guy really went out of his way to find the car I wanted.

Anways, good luck with your purchase.

Thanks for all your answers.

Any one else have a dealer they would like to suggest?

P.S. I would travel out of state if the price, service, warranty, respect... was right, just not across the entire country.

Family Mitshubishi in Fishers Indiana. I can get your evo, MR, etc.. for 500 OVER invoice. THey have 5 MR's all colors coming in. pm me, or let me know if you want me to have them hold you one!! I don't work there, but have sold directly and indirectly TONS of evos!! You can get them anywhere, I am just saying what I can get them for. They ordered these for the June 3rd Winged Warrior event, to sell out there for "us" evo gear heads I guess.

Max madsen in Downers Grove was more willing to make a deal for my GG IX MR than Shaumburg, which wouldn't really budge. I got mine under invoice.

I've never had a problem with the service people there other than them telling me just about every warranty on the car is void. Overall Schaumburg Mitsubishi is a good store and I will buy from them again.

+1 for Max Madsen in Downers Grove. The second I told them about SC Mitsu's deals, they caved and went from $28,700 to $27,500 on my 06 RS. Which, at that point (a month ago), put the car $500 above what SC Mitsu was asking. With the plane ticket out, plus fuel to drive it back, plus one day's paycheck (miss a day of work to get back), it'd be a wash more or less. Flying out, then flying back, and having the car shipped back is just as bad.
While I'm not a huge fan of Max Madsen's salespeople (Pat and Anthony are cool guys but I don't like the overall sales atmosphere of the place), they seem very willing to deal, and getting a test drive in an Evo wasn't like asking for a td in an Enzo. Granted, I took out some Evo8's for my td's, but I beat the heck out of them with no objections from the salesperson.

Check out South Coast Mitsu. 32,999 for a new MR, and they ship across the country.
