I was thinking of the one out by the mall. They have long tables they can push together depending on how many folks come. I would propose Saturday, April 28th. I'd prefer it to be in the late afternoon/ evening since I'm doing a dog adoption thingamabob from 11 to 2. I am a meet virgin. What do people do in meets? Go see a movie or just hang out? It's all good, just wondering. I would say that we should eat 5:00ish-6:00ish so that if we have out of town folks from Champaign Urbana or Effingham, they can still get home at a decent time, if they want to. We can certainly change any of this to fit the group's wishes, but this is just me throwing it out. Hopefully it will be warmer too.

 

Anything sounds good to me. Doesn't matter the time just let me know. Im the only other evo in effingham.

 

well lets burst the meet cherry lol I got the joys to putting together the meets for the Pensacola guys when I was down there and your doing great.

 

Do you live in Effingham proper or in a town around there?

 

Where should we meet? The Xochimilco paking lot is too small for us just to hang out in if memerory serves me correctly. Maybe somewhere in the mall parking lot or would the mall police have to regulate on us for loitering? We could also meet in the the Kmart parking lot, no mall patrol there.

 

I know Springfield was real strict about people just hanging out Im sure the mall is the same way

as for where to meet just somewhere with room for everyone

Rocketmotor, I along with my friend EVO8U2 live in the great.... city of Effingham, il (I wish it was great, unfortunately it isn't)

Anyhow, we are willing to do/go anywhere. I would like to check out some more evo's in the area. Moving on, I know there is a little place called deja vu in Springfield, we could always meet there...

For the people who live in springfield is there anything to do there? I have been there many times, but never did anything too exciting. Anyway keep us updated.

There isn't much to do down here, but I have a house and my girlfriend isn't moving in until the first of May.... Everyone would be more than welcome to come down and visit, grill out, drink, stay the night if needed etc..(just a back-up plan)
There is a little 1/8 mile track in Charleston, il that has Friday, fun nights we could do. Also there is something like this in St. Louis as well(not sure how far that is from everyone)

By the way, how old is everyone here? I just turned 22...(I live on my own, and pay for everything)

 

Im 22 not sure what all Springfield has to offer I just moved back 2 months ago after living out of state for the past 3 1/2 years

Hi, I am from Bloomington/Normal. I am only about 45 min.-1hr. from springfield and would be up for anything. Also if you are looking for a good place Bloomington is a nice spot and there are alot of places to hang out here. A bunch of my friends and I always have cruise-ins so I know we can pull it off!!!

 

Springfield is weird about that stuff. There is a lot to eat (many resturants) in springfield, but as far as entertainment of cool things to do, it is lacking quite badly for a town it's size. Bloomington would be cool to, it just would suck for the Effingham guys since that would be another hour on top of 90 minute drive. I can look up on an event calendar and see if maybe the stallions (inside football team) are playing that weekend. There is Knight's Action Park, but the are mostly water based, and that water will still be frickin' cold. I'm up for any ideas.

BTW: I'm 33 years old, so that makes me the creepy old man of this group.

 

I hope that 33 years old doesn't make you that creepy, because I am not far off at 28 and most of my import buds are older than I am.
