FYI; boosts have been known to crack. I'd suggest another stronger; perhaps forged rim myself. But do what ya want.

Well, without specifics or pics of the total car, there is no way to indicate a problem with those wheels. For all anyone knows, the car could have been curbed at 100mph- which would break any rim. If you are going to post that, post some useful information as well. Those pictures by themselves don't tell us anything. Now if the car was curbed at like, 10-15 mph, and it broke the wheel, then that's another story, but you sure don't indicate that in your pictures. Makes me think you did something silly and broke your whole car. Please clarify how that happened to the wheel, as I think many members of evom are interested/considering Rota Wheels.

Thanks.

you can clearly tell he hit something with the rash on the rim. if you hit something hard enough any rim will crack..

If you want the story, search on nasioc or iwsti under my same screenname. Nothing was hit, the rim cracked going through a ditch at about 40mph. No tickets issued; Totaled the STi.

I had several people tell me to bring a lawsuit, but didn't want to mess with it - it's not my thing. I got a lot of pm's and emails about other people with similar experiencing with Rota and some other rims that I won't mention. A lot of the Rota issues I heard about were with the Boosts I think, maybe was a bad design or bad batch.

I've since learned my lesson not to cheap out. Just FYI'ing ya guys. G/L with whatever you decide.

Ya, hitting the wall of a ditch at 40mph will crack just about anything.

It actually cracked before this; which forced me into the ditch and resulted in catapulting the car. There was never any colision with anything; no airbags deployed, etc. There's marked to prove it; we just have no idea why the rim cracked. Read the story if you want the specifics, I was just trying to throw in my .02; everybody has an opinion...
