I've been noticing over the last month that several of the gas stations have been switching their premium fuel from 93 octane to 91 octane. In fact, I have not been able to find any gas stations that still have 93 octane here in the Quad City Area (Eastern IA/Western IL). Has anyone else been noticing a trend towards 91 octane in the midwest area? I really hate to see 91 octane spreading across the country.

It comes down to corporate greed,, less fuel additive added to fuel= more money in their pocket...that's all.

 

I can't find 93 anywhere around Des Moines.

 

Is this a recent development for you as well? I've only noticed it since April.

Last summer was the last time I got 93 out here.
