Badog just lemme know. I'll be driving through DSM (obviously) so I'm just trying to see if anyone will be able to meet up with me and finish the drive to Omaha.

Oh yeah, I'll tear it up! Should be a fun time. Maybe we can all get together again for Boo Bash. I'll try to post up some video and pics.

Sorry to hijack the thread again, but I'm gonna anyway

Here's a video from Saturday at MAM. It wasn't my fastest lap of the day, (it's the only session I video taped) but a 1.47 isn't too bad for having a passenger and being at the track in 1000 degree heat.

Video (21meg zip file)

And here's the screen shot of that lap's data:

Awesome, Tim. I bet you would have been even faster if you weren't racing on the surface of the sun. How much did that Traqmate setup end up costing you?

It was like 650 or so. It's pretty cool, it just plugs into the cig lighter and then has a gps antenna magnet so it can be moved in seconds. I let a few other people use it so it's cool to put them all together and compare the line, speed, etc from each of the cars. Well worth the cost

That Traqmate looks very tempting if I spent time at the track. Do they make a hardwire version or have extended wires so I could hardwire it in??

Yea i hear ya, I spent about a year thinking about it and finally took the plunge

Yes they have a hardwire kit instead of the cig lighter. Also, If you get the display unit, then the sensor unit (a small box, a little bigger than a deck of cards), would not need to be removed, unless you want to put it in another car. The display unit saves the data and you just take that out to download the info to a laptop or whatever. It's really slick. It also is directly compatible with the chasecam and their PDR, so when you hit start, it starts the traqmate and the video recording.

More info: traqmate.com

Badog: You really NEED a better place to mount your camera ... Are you on a Robispec setup? What's the fastest times you have put down @ MAM in the EVO?

silvrevo: Don't worry I think a bunch of us EVO guys are going to be late given the fact that we will be returning from Auto-x school in Lincoln ...
