Hi, just wondering if there are any trustworthy shops for bleeding my brakes around the chicago area. I'm from Evanston, so closer to that the better. My brakes have been feeling spongy ever since i got it a month ago. I tried bleeding it three times already: the first time with old school 2 man method, and the following two times with a motive pressure bleeder. Everytime i used a bit more than a bottle of 1L valvoline brake fluid. I followed all the procedures from Joe250's write up and even actuated the abs at least 5 times before bleeding each time. My brakes feel exactly the same after each time. I'm at a lost right now and I think it might be a problem with the master cylinder. But then again the pedal feels spongy but does not drop all the way to the floor, as thats what i think happens with a bad MC. So the bottom line is, i think this is beyond my abilities and if anyone knows a good knowledgeable shop with a good price in the area? and also what's a standard price for bleeding?
