yeah im not to sure if there are any threads on this but i recently did me emissions test and passed it...a couple of people told me that i wouldnt of passed it because i got headers,exhaust,cold air intake....and piggy...i do have a CEL on and i passed.im posting this just in case if anyone was told that they wouldnt pass cause they have simillar parts in their lancers...i passed i dont see why you wouldnt...sorry if this thread was useless.but i just wanted to inform people...thanks for reading.

 

i started a similar thread. but are u saying u brought the car to the test with the CEL on and u passed??? thats virtually impossible... cuz a CEL = fail...

 

naw well...i was told that if i have aftermarket headers installed my check engine light would turn on....so i bought a CEL eliminator my light turned off and i passed.....i just thought i wasnt gonna pass it because people were telling me that i wasnt for having aftermarket headers...sorry for the confusion.

 

You are very confusing. You mention aftermarket headers, but our cars only have one exhaust manifold as it is a straight 4. I think you mean downpipe.

It is impossible to pass with a check engine light on. As long as it is not on (does not matter what method you use to trick the ECU), you will pass. The most common cause of the check engine light is a downpipe without a cat. I used the $5 cel fix and passed my emissions test
