I am looking for the best option for a tuner/shop with a AWD dyno to have my EvoVIII tuned in the Mineapolis/St. Paul, MN area. Can someone help a guy out or has anyone heard good things about a particular place?

make the drive to AMS & call it a day or buy a laptop & learn how to tune urself so u don't have to rely on anyone. that's what all the Subaru guys do...

Remote tuning...hmmm.. I'll look into that. Sounds like a good option. I was doing some searching and found DB Performance in Rogers, MN (www.dbptuning.com). Looks like a good place and they have tuned several EVOs. Anyone heard good or bad about them??

 

AMS is the most tried-and-true option. I have no idea what type of timeframe you're looking for though.

Jorge @ P&L motorsports is another good option. More known in the Subie ring, but he's a good guy and good tuner.

Ecuflash and tune yourself. It's an option; not one I'm into, but an option.

Various mailin options.... These work, but you'll get more from a custom tune if you've got the time to work it out.

I'd love to go to AMS. Im actually in ND but the time to head to AMS might be well worth it. It takes about 6hrs to get to the twin cities, MN then head from there. Sounds like a 3 day weekend trip might be in the plans.

I am 1000% satisfied with my tune from Jorge..I would definitely go back to him.

 

I go to RS Motors in Burnsville. Ron is a great tuner and I will not let anyone tune it except him, he knows what he is doing.

 

Don't count out Chris at Mellon tuning.... Very good work.
