'tis the season...for an SRI

Hey guys, i have the injen CAI on my car right now and the first snow of the season hit our area this week, i want to convert it back to an sri to avoid any hydrolocking but i recently moved to an apartment where i dont have any tools and what not, i really dont want to take it to a shop because im REALLY short on cash, i was wondering if anyone in the chicago suburbs would be able to help, and i would pay them for their help

Is snow a bigger threat than >32 degrees F water puddles during the rest of the year?

yeah, because youll rarely run into hydrolock in a puddle unless the puddle is 1 foot deep and the entire cone is submerged. In winter, slush can get kicked up onto the cone and freeze overnight so that you cant suck any air in.
