UTI is garbage lol I had like 5 friends go that route while I went to SIU to do the 4 year automotive program... they are all out making garbage money. If you go to UTI all you can become is a tech thats it, no room for improvement. Going to a 4 year college that offers automotive sends you to the corporation side of manufacturers making the big bucks... just my 2 cents

A UTI rep said that depending on what classes you take, they can transfer to automotive engineering

The school is what you make of it. Don't listen to these dumb ***** tell you the school is crap. Allot of kids wash out because it was a second choice. They could not get into the college they or their parents wanted so becoming an auto mechanic was suppose to cure all dumb decisions from high school. Those same students do exactly what they did in high school which would be jack sh*t and they fail or don't find a job.

I know success and failure stories. One of the success stories lives in Vegas and works with Porche. He makes good money and owns his own home in a nice area. I could tell you more but its boring made a good life stuff. Most of you drama queens want to hear about the crap. There is so many idiots on here they make my stomach ache, I'm going to go vomit now.

Yes this is true, it is what you make out of it. Be the top of your class and work hard and you will eventually could be a tech at a good dealership. I guess look at what you want to be. If its a tech then yea UTI can be good. Anything else in the car industry I would look elsewhere. Mebe the UTI out here has more rep then the one in PA. Either way goodluck

what are some other good schools? I would love to learn how to tune a car and work on a car and build cars. I mean i think its awesome the job that some of these guys have. AMS, Buschur, all fo the big names get paid to do what they love...I would love to thave there skills and knowledge and be able to make money also doing what i love. Can someone offer some other schools to look into...And do u guys know if these schools accept the Montgomery GI bill? Thanks.
