Construction zone speed cameras? If so they've been in place for ~2 years.

I've seen the signs near 80/Joliet but never seen the 'van'.

They had the 'van' down outside of St Louis last year but not sure if it was there to scare or what. It sat right next to the warning sign on I-64 contruction. Looked like a white van or small enclosed trailer.

I don't get the point of speed cameras. I've noticed that when their actually is work going on, you can't go faster then 30 MPH due to all the damn traffic.

I've never seen the "Van" or any type of camera-trap on I-88 (355 to Rt 59). I have noticed a lot of cops in the area. Now why would they have real cops pulling people over for speeding if there is already a speed camera in that area?

This has been a concern for me. I frequently go 80 on expressways. I've yet to receive a ticket but seeing "Automated Traffic Control System" signs freaks me out. Do they have camera's and speed traps up on poles yet or is it still just the vans with cameras?

I didn't get nailed by a speed camera, but a stupid red light camera nailed me for making a right turn on red, even though there is no sign saying no turn on red and I stopped to yield to traffic. I'll be fighting that one; camera was located at the intersection of Rt. 59 and North Ave. (64)

jeez I hope I don't get nailed for this one...take 294 3-4x/wk...construction site as well...I can pretty much tell where the cameras are, and yet with me violating the speed law - been okei so far...but I do remember that I heard on the news that although that there are cameras up, they're still trying to pass a law where they can actually take pics of your license plate # and ticket you - that's the basic gist of it

The signs for the cameras have been up for at least 3 years. I've never once gotten a ticket sent home in the years that I have driven on 88.
