i'm keeping my options open, just in case the used car deal is off i might end up picking up a new evo instead. so, if i were to pick up a new 08 evo from a chicagoland dealer, what sort of tax would i be paying? i'm live chicago (cook county), so i presume its the regular 10.25% sales tax.

and on top of tax, i presume dmv will collect documentation, title and license fees. appreciate any advice and help i can get!

wow, thats not what i expected! i thought it'd be 10.25% tax (in cook county) + ~$130 for title & licence.

 

i thought it was 9.something for chicago

 

actually i checked with several friends and they paid "regular" sales tax according to where they stay. looks like our friend chrisbond1 lives in dupage.
