this question goes out to the folks who have purchased a new 08 evo from chicagoland area dealers, esp if you have done so this year, when mitsu threw in all those incentives and rebates ... and with the CA dealers undercutting one another.
i've noticed that they do not like to discuss pricing over the phone or email. They always ask "when can you come in?" and sometimes follow that up with silly excuses of "you have better bargaining power if you are here", "you can see for yourself the car you are buying" etc. having test driven both a gsr and a mr, i know what i want and i know what the different packages etc are so there is little reason to go in if they can't give me the car at the price i want.
what have the experiences you've had?
