Just wondering where to find a torx #8 driver or even a bit, cheap, without having to buy a whole set of drivers.

 

Look in the clearance section of the tools. Those big bins in the middle of most hardware stores. The ones that have screwdrivers usually have a of those sets in there. And they are only a couple of bucks.

Sometimes sears has them individually for sale there, too.
