I've rolled around the last 2 winters lowered. I don't have an Evo but I have a 09 GTS lowered roughly 1.5" all around and haven't had any issues as of now. Once in a while you'll hear the piles of snow that are on the ground scrape under the car but no big issues.

so far so good with swift springs in the naperville area. this will be my evo's first winter lowered. i've driven lowered cars in the winter before, gotta watch out for big chunks of snow/ice in the middle of the road. i've always had a set of winter tires/wheels though.

Drove it all last winter on my KW V3s and only ever once had an issue (highsided on 9" of snow and had literally all four tires spinning in the air)...

Have to drive my lowered car in the winter... Can't adjust the ride height because of the seized front coil overs. It's not much the height of the car that's the problem but more of my setup (setup for rake). Have to shove a lot of heavy things in the trunk to have good traction.

I drove my EVO with S-Tech's for 2 Detroit winters, no problems.
We nicknamed her "The Toboggan" after a few runs up north in the deep snow. You could see the marks from the undertray and the exhaust pipe in the snow, good stuff!

i keep my hotchkis springs on all year round, but i do go back to Stock 17" wheels with winter tires. I don't have any problem other than when we get a crazy amount of snow built up then I turn into a snowplow in some areas. I do freak out when I see a ice chunk in the middle of the road and wonder if I will clear it or is this going to be the one that cracks my front end up????
so far 3 winters and no real issues to speak of

yeah I left it lowered last winter.... the FMIC is completely covered, but once in a while just get out and clear it off if you'd like, and you're set.....

other than ripping off the undertray, there's nothing to worry about.
