***Evo Owners in Saint Louis Area, I need help***

Hello,

I just purchased an 2003 Evo 8 with 31,xxx miles on it. The car drives like a dream, however I noticed a small oil leak just after purchasing the vechicle last month. I thought at first that maybe it was a bad oil gasket or oil plug, however I just had the oil changed today and the car is still leaking oil.

The amount of oil it is leaking is 1 drop per 45 minutes or so. Is there anyone in the STL area who can help me find a reliable shop or anyone who may know a good Mitsubishi Tuner/Mechanic in the area?

Thanks for all your help,

one quick thing to mention is that I am not sure if the previous owner had the 30,000 mile service done. That includes flushing all fluids. If this was not done could this possibly be why the car is leaking some oil?

Thanks,

Check the drive axle. Hope there isn't fluid leaking from there to where it may lockup your tranny. happened to me :-(

Jack up the car or put in on ramps and try to see where the drip is coming from. If it's dusty or grimey underneath, the wipe things clean. Heck, you can probably leave it sitting there for an hour then come back and look for anything wet.
