Clutch install
Clutch install
I have my new ACT clutch set up and need it installed cheap and correctly. I don't want to spend very much more then 500.00. Can anyone tell me someone who can do it for around this price? I live in Milwaukee, WI by the way.
any competant transmission shop should be able to do it for you. Although I am not 100% certain, I've been told that doing the clutch is about a 6 hour job and doesnt require removing the engine.. Therefore you shouldn't have to pay more than about $350-400 for the install assuming you provide all the parts.

I was also told $500+ by Greg at AMS, but with the new fluids and everything else, it came out to $700+
You can ask evo8usa cuz I showed him my receipt from AMS when I picked up the car.

Hey, go talk to Jason....we put your exhaust on, remember?
I'm sure that he'd work with you on the price... just let him know that.
They said they'll meet or beat any other dealer's price on the clutch install. I strongly recommend NOT to have some no-name shop do the install. Clutches on the Evos are super tricky.
