hello, Im a new resident of wi, i live in racine. I just moved here from Cali. Do they actually do a visual test here for registration and emissions? cuz i just drove up, had my obd2 hooked up and was done in 10 mins? I have a virtually bone stock ww evo 9 mr with silver rpf1s. Just wanted to see if i could get any advice on where I can find a local tuner or aftermarket shop near southeast wi. Thinking of getting full bolt ons and tune by ams but its kind of pricey. Also does anyone have a 6 speed, if so how much whp and wlbs of torque are u pushing? i was wondering if i should get a rebuilt 6 spd by shep or do a 5speed conversion. thanks.

 

Emissions here in WI is now done by obd scans. They use to run on the dyno and use the sniffer. Also welcome to wisconsin.

 

Yeah like i said Im new and i really dont know anyone here in state besides co-workers but their all mostly in their 40s and im only 27 so yeah we really dont have much in common. Just figured i could get to know people with something we do have in common, our evo's. I hear summerfest is something cool to go to but what about car meets? I just started to get really into the drifting last year and went to the last round of Formula D to see Dai win. It was an amazing event. Is there anything like that around here? What about a race track? Once i get my car worked on a little I wanna see what i can do at a track, just for fun of course not planning to enter tournaments or anything like that.
