Hey I'm in the USAF and am stationed at Offutt AFB in NE, anybody know if there is an evo club in the area? I'm from the east coast (charlotte, NC) so i'm used to there being a bit more enthusiasts than this...but i can't find anyone, in fact the closest tuning shop is in Kansas City. Help...anyone...Bueller?

 

Midwest Evos is a club for the whole midwest... There are a few EVOs Omaha
I have tried to get some people to get together, only a couple people have shown up when I try.

 

The Evo/ Lancer scene in Omaha use to be a lot bigger. I use to drive out there from Blue Grass, IA every other month for the meets. They were all really great people. But over the years some of the, ave been transferred, or moved, or just got out of the scene. Check out MWE or Mitsu Media for some people. Good luck.

Your welcome. To be completely honest, when I saw the post it just kind of took me down memory lane. Everyone always thought I was crazy for driving 4.5 hours for a meet in Omaha.. But those people out there showed me a friendship that I will never forget. Ya know?

I do hope you find some of them out there still. I know a lot of them since I stopped have since gotten out of the scene or got relocated.

 

Luis had a red VIII but he was relocated.
James had a red VIII but his was recently sold from what I know.
Todd had a white IX rs but he sold his.
Ed has a white VIII but idk if he still does or not.
James had a black VIII with yellow tinted film over the headlights, I believe his is gone too.
Garrick had a black VIII but he sold it and is actually moved now.
Phil had the blue by you VIII and last I knew still had it.
Suraj has a grey VIII, there again last I knew still had it.


There is obviously many more then that.. but that's all I can remember right now.

 

I'm from Omaha and actually thinking about getting an Evo 8/9 or an STI. I'd be up for some cruises when I do.

 

thx for the rundown, and yeah I've found a couple of guys with evos out here, so far we have: my WW9, a RR8, an RR9, a BBY8, an AS8, and 2 GG 9s, and yeah, if anyone else sees this thread and wants to cruise with us we usually all meet up on fridays, hit me with a pm, ill give you my phone and hit you when we head out, also for ppl in the area on the 13th of Aug a bunch of cars from the area are doing the "ice cream cruise" we all meet up and cruise around omaha hangin at various places, last year they supposedly had a couple hundred cars show up, everything from evos, stis, rx7s to muscles

Did any of you guys go to the ICC this year?? What a crazy mess of awesomeness that was.

 

Yeah me and a buncha buddies went down, soooooo many sick cars out there, sucks that they kicked us outta the parking lot though, we ended up parking down by bank of the west

 

yeah, before the cruise we were in the Dollar General lot; after the cruise we ended up at Stacy's car wash. I'm pretty pumped to go next year as well.
