Help Looking at an Evo!!!
Help Looking at an Evo!!!
So I'm wondering if anyone in the St Charles/St Louis MO area would be interested in going to look at an Evo with me?? Quite frankly I've only driven one and I don't know what to look for by any means. The car in question is mostly stock. Has exhaust, intake and I think he said maybe an upgraded fmic I dont remember. Said that he's had the car for 3 years and has only driven it for 10,000 miles or so since he got it from California.
Went to Chicago this past Thursday to look at an extremely sexy 2005 Electric Blue Evo 8. Had it take to P&L Motorsports because AMS was booked. Car had bad compression in a cylinder. It was 170 160 145 165. P&L said if I can get a good deal and build the motor by next spring it should be alright. But they wouldn't buy it personally unless I get a good deal and can build the engine. Called AMS and talked to owner of P&L and they told me to walk away so I did. 12 hr round trip for nothin but hey it was a good decision.
IMPORTANT PART: If someone would be willing to come to my area and help me look at this Evo I'd glad pay for your gas money and buy you a drink or food whatever youd like. If this person has a compression tester even better! Id check compression first if that was good I'd go from there and hopefully acquire the car
Thanks everyone who read this and someone PLEASE help me! I'm not 100% familiar with Evo's. I know my way around a car but I'd like a current/past owner helping me!
