Anyone in the area? I used to have an 04 STi many years ago and hung with the 815subaru's folks. That forum is near dead. Are there any local meets for evos/stis/imports?

 

Hey bud I'm in Rockford! There are several Evo guys in the area but unfortunately we haven't been able to get together to have a real meet yet. Would love to do it some time soon though or maybe do a track day at Byron.

 

Sept 14th is the Subaru shootout at Byron. I think it is from 3pm til dusk. Usually a good turn out - 100+ cars in the past if I recall. I plan on attending, even though I feel like I'm viewed as being part of the dark side. Not sure if I'll run though...

Just put a stake in the ground with that and meet there?

Haha!! We should see how many Evos we can bring and crash the party! Seriously though, it would be cool if we could all meet up there. I think I might actually be free that weekend I'll ask around and see if some other local Evo guys can make it out.

As far as next weekend goes, unfortunately I won't be able to get together because my wife will be out of town and I'll have to watch the lil man. I'm still hopeful we can all get together before winter hits though. Maybe we can find a weekend in October that works for everyone.

 

How lil is the little man? I'm bringing my 7 year old boy. Car goes to Boostin Performance for routine maintenance and inspection and I'm getting a dyno tune as well. Rest of the car is stock, but should see decent gains....

 

I wish I could bring him but he's only 20 months so I'm not sure he's quite ready for the track yet... IDK, I'm still debating it His mother would probably freak though
