Does anyone know where I can get my ACD pump rebuilt here in the Chicagoland area?

 

I sent mine to ACD Tuning in Tennessee. I just couldnt find any reputable rebuilder in this area that knows enough about these pumps or the parts needed.

 

When you removed the pump to send it to them, was your car still drivable?

 

No, I was told not to drive the car! Car was down for a week or so.

 

We have a guy fighting for the last 6 months to get a decent pump for rebuild.

He's gone through maybe 4-5 pumps with no success.

With the amount of decay, corrosion and issues that arise with these things in the mid-west at times it's easier to simply purchase a known working one from people on Ebay that have some validation and warranty to them. Other than that, you can at least try to get it done and see if it helps.

If you need assistance with it we have and do perform the rebuilds here, we can perform the R&R, rebuild flush and if you'd opt for it we can even tune the ACD system.

ouch. that is alot of money burned on bad pumps.

 

Oh yeah, luckily he didn't have to pay but for two pumps. One good one (which was bad) and one known bad one, the rest were covered so at least that was good.
