I just pulled my winter tires/wheels off the EVO, remounted the stock wheels, washed it, waxed it, even scrubbed the ashtray, the whole spring cleaning shibang...

got it all ready 4 pimpin the town!

So, therefore, according to Murphy's law, it will now rain mud for 3 days, then sleet at least 2 inches, and snow an additional 8 inches on top of that... all before the weekend!!!

And it's supposed to snow about 2 inches this Friday. So, in effect, you are to blame for removing your snow tires and cleaning your car.

Oh well, what do I care, I've got a rental right now...lol.

I got them from www.discounttiredirect.com back in late November or early December

17x7 Enkei RS5 wheels and Yokohama F721 IceGuard tires. The tires especially were not cheap, but were very highly rated for winter use, and I can certainly vouch for their incredible ice and snow traction...

Good combo, wheels are narrower than stock (good for winter traction) and a nice classy 5 spoke wheel design and certainly didn't look out of place, tires were narrower 205 series (I think) and stick like glue in the slippy stuff! Handling certainly suffered, and felt rubbery, but I could still smoke most cars in the twisties, even with the snow tires on.

They should EASILY last me for 3 or more additional years, honestly, rubber rot may set in before I burn the tread off on these things, the EVO seems VERY easy on tires when you aren't pretending you're a Schumacher racing on The Ring!

I think the total was just over $1200 to my door ready to put on the car, don't recall the exact number.

Not bad. I just ordered tires (tirerack.com - Conti's) and had them mounted on my stock rims. Thinking of leaving them on.
