Any experience with these Chicagoland Dealerships?
Any experience with these Chicagoland Dealerships?
It's time for me to bring my Evo 9 MR for 30k mile service (despite only having 25k miles) because my belts are squeaking and probably need replacement. The dealership I normally go to for service (Max Madsen in Downers Grove) is quoting like $1200 for the service, which is twice as much as everyone else.
Does anyone have any experience with the quality of work at these other dealerships (all of whom have quoted me closer to the ~$550 average):
1. Glenview Mitsubishi (Glenview, IL)
2. Schaumburg Mitsubishi (Schaumburg, IL)
3. Continental Mitsubishi (La Grange, IL)
I'm just trying to find a dealer that does good work. AMS is backed up and not accepting work for another 5 months.

Yes, go to Boostin. I live in 45 min from Boostin and take my car there for everything from oil changes, to hardware upgrades, to tuning. They are the only ones who have touched my car - from maintenance to turbo upgrade. They know my car's history and there is a sense of comfort from that.
I've only dealt with Glenview. I normally wrench on my cars/cycles, but it was the middle of winter and I wanted to get the fluids changed (trans, transfer, diff). Didn't feel like being in the garage when it was -20 out. Nothing but good things to say. I always go there when I need stock parts.
These mitsubishi max madsen dealers are so out of business they even have sign that bring your vehicles and we will work cheap for you but that's sad that they are quoting this much fees
I mean common they have been working on these cars for ever why not start offering extended warranties on evos and make some money.

Plenty of great shops in the area besides Boostin. R&D, APM, Strictly, etc... AMS is telling you 5 months because that is nicer than saying we do not work on Evos anymore. Evo's are turning into DSM's for shops like AMS. They have expanded to more expensive and higher end vehicles. I would avoid the dealerships unless its warranty work being performed.
