Helmet dealers in Chicago Area
Northstar Motorsports, Barrington, Illinois.

Very nice people, they even opened their store back up for me. They close(d) at 1:00 pm I think on Saturdays and I got there at about 20 after, but we called and they said come back!
They followed the fitting proceedure that Bell has on their website.
I bought a Bell M2 and it seems nice.

Does anyone know of a good helmet dealer in the Chicago area?

They carry Simpson and Bell helmets
I should also mention that they carry Redline fluids and Simpson racing harnesses, Hawk brake pads, etc, etc.

Look up the closest motorcycle shop to your home or work place and head on down.

You can always go with a motorcycle helmet. Just make sure it's Snell approved. MOST auto sanctioning bodies or clubs will accept a Snell approved motorcycle helmet as long as the Snell rating is less than 7 years old.

Sorry, dude, but the events I have particpated in DO NOT allow mororcycle helmets. It's a coin toss, don't take the chance, do not buy a motorcycle helmet.

I ended up getting the Bell SR-Pro full face helmet from Northstar Motorsports. It was like $266.50 with tax, but shipping was free and it arrived the next day.
