If you do not know, one of our original MLC member, DJ (Omnivegita) is leaving us! He is moving to Florida for his career choice..good luck DJ!

If you don't know who he is, I'll sum him up with one hyphenated word: fun-loving. Whenever he is at the meets, it's always a great meet. He definately brings out the fun in all of us!!

For almost every meet that he has been to, he has had to drive nearly 4 hours to get here (Woodfield area). I think we owe him big time for that, so this is why I'm proposing an "Emergency Good-Bye Meet" to take place in Kalamazoo, MI. We owe it to DJ and what he has brought to the club.

We will have more information as the week goes, like what we will do there, how we will get there, where to go, etc. So now I'm going to start a list. So far, all I know is that me and Pedro can come for sure. Please be sure if you can come or not, this is probably not going to be a meet where you can "stop by". Be prepared for the 3 to 4 hour drive. It's not so bad, me and Pedro did it last year. So who can come and show love for one of the original MLC member??

this is next saturday..as the title says. we arent too sure of details but we'll probably leave before noon so we can do things before dinner and such. we dont want to stay too late either becasue if we leave at 10, we'll get back here around 1 or 2 am lol

 

I'm already commited to doing an Autocross event w/ the BMWCCA that day. Sorry.

hey bob, i've been keeping up with the mlc posts. so the meets cancelled right? let me know whats up.

 

I can't make it. I think I met DJ if he was at the meet last summer in the Forest Preserve.

A couple of tips for driving to Kzoo:
1) Try to meet for breakfast in Chicago and leave as early as possible. I-94 in Indiana is great for high speed runs, but only in the morning when there's no traffic. I drive Chicago-Ann Arbor for UM games and I'm always on that stretch between 6-8am.
2) One of the all time best straights is on I-94 east AFTER Kzoo. Either stay on 94 for five minutes after you reach Kzoo or head east for five minutes before you go home. That stretch of the road is great. It's also interesting to look north to see a bunch of fallen trees facing the same direction. Looks like a tornado touched down, but I don't know when it happened...

and yes, i believe this meet is off, DJ can't attend LOL. unfortunate tho, really unfortunate. He's such a great guy, with his sexual jokes and all..I just wished I could say good bye to him in person before he goes off with his life and I go off to college! Im sure we'll meet again tho! He's gotta start a club down there now..hehe
