Taking 290

Go East On 290 And Exit On Ashland - Paulina Exit.
Go Straight To Loomis St. (you Should Go Past Two Lights).
Turn Right On Loomis St. And Go 3.5 Blocks.
The Apartment Is On The Right Side Of The Street, In Front Of A Fountain.
If You Go Past Taylor St. You Went Too Far.

Taking 90

Go East On 90 And Exit On Taylor - Roosevelt.
Take A Right On Taylor St.
Go Straight To Loomis St.
Turn Right On Loomis And The Apartment Is About 1.5 Blocks On The Left.

Lalo, you and your roomie go to uic? I heard it's like nice there now.

 

yeah, actually there are three of us in the apartment and we all go to UIC. Come to think of it, the party was their idea, I just live there.
It is "nice" now. I don't really know how it was before but hear it wasn't as good.
When I said that it wasn't the offical MLC party I didn't wanna sound like I was in charge of MLC and didn't wanna anyone telling me not to get to bossy or something, you know what I mean? We get little misunderstanding every now and then.

 

nahh no one would think that! but yea unfortunately I cant make it. I got some people coming over prolly gonna head out later. When I went there it was ghetto. But luckily I got to stay at the nice enclosed townhouses just off of loomis. I used to crash at my sorority sister's apartment on taylor right across from those projects. I would always wake up in the middle of the night to make sure a bum didn't try to steal my old car haha. Did they tear those down yet?

Yeah, they are almost all down (the projects buildings) and I know what area you're talking about. It is a lot better now I guess. I'm at school right now and just when I was coming here they were tearing down one of the buildings next to Arrigo Park. We still get e-mails from UIC police telling us be careful because of incidents that have happened, but other than it's all good.
